On The Way To The Chapel

It’s been a frenzied sort of week around my house but’s it been a mundane sort of busy and nobody on that Protestant homeschooling forum has been feeding me fuel for my blog. Well maybe just once or twice….but I can’t blog about it EVERY time can I? I have been studying the seven penitential Psalms for Lent and hopefully, I will have something to say about that in soon. In the meantime, how about another “shiny pebble” (those little gems I pick up as I walk along)? This one is from a CD called Gift of Love: Music to the Words and Prayers of Mother Teresa, honestly I didn’t care much for the music when I first listened to it but over time the content of the lyrics has endeared it all to me. These words are a blessing that the Missionaries of Charity recite over their sandals in the morning.

Of my free will, Dear Jesus

I shall follow you wherever You shall go

In search of souls, at any cost to myself

And out of pure love of You.

I need more ritual prayer like this in my life to keep me focused in the middle of the frenzy.
